Advent Series: Unexpected Christmas
Sundays, December 1-22
10:00 am
Jesus’s lineage is filled with shady characters and people with less-than-stellar pasts, none of whom could have come to God on their own merits. The Good News of Jesus declares that our goodness never earns a relationship with God. Instead, his grace, mercy, and power invade our world and offer new life and freedom.
So, if you feel like the things you’ve done (or haven’t done) are keeping you from God, you can throw that thinking out the door! Through the Advent season of waiting and longing, we’ll remember that we’re all in need of rescue and we will celebrate that this rescue that has come to us in the birth of a savior!
Advent Project: Winter Coat Drive
As part of the outreach team of the Salvation Army, the Sunderland Safe Rest Village offers space, resources, and coaching for people wanting to move toward safe, secure, legal, and sustainable housing. All this happens with the heart of communicating dignity, compassion, and God’s love to participants.
As a way to bless those in need and show the tangible love of God, Mosaic is partnering with the Salvation Army to collect winter coats for program participants.
Coats should be:
- New
- Warm and weatherproof
- Adult sizes Large, X-Large, and XX-Large
Bring coats to the bins in the Mosaic lobby.
