Practices:

Scripture

Starting on October 1

Psalm 1 tells us that someone who meditates on God’s Word is like a well-watered and flourishing tree! Read through the Bible in one year with others in the Mosaic community using the “One Story that Leads to Jesus” plan on the Bible App

Triads

Even when we’re looking for it, it’s often only with hindsight that we know God was at work in our lives. We need one another to help us develop soul-attentiveness and to mirror back to us how Jesus is speaking and where his invitation is now.

Triads are intentional relationships where three people gather and set aside sacred time once a month to talk, listen to one another, and witness God at work.

Prayer

Through prayer we can begin and live a conversational relationship with Jesus that not only changes us, but changes the world around us. We are continuing our Tuesday rhythm of prayer & fasting and exploring new tools and formats that help us build a life of prayer individually and corporately.

Sundays

Every week we have the beautiful opportunity to gather to worship Jesus as king, speak and sing God’s Word to one another, and be a living picture of Jesus’s body to our city and world.

Gather in-person and online every Sunday at 10:00 am.

People:

Neighborhood Communities

Through the summer, we met for Neighborhood Suppers, a fun, casual meal to meet people in our part of the city and reconnect. Starting in October, Neighborhood Communities will continue these once-a-month gatherings to connect, pray together, and have intentional conversations about following Jesus.

Be on the list for one of the seven Neighborhood Communities meeting across the Portland/Vancouver metro area.

Mosaic Youth

The start of a school year is full of potential, along with hopes, dreams, fears, and unknowns. As the Mosaic Youth community of students, parents, and adult leaders, we want to start the school year playing, dreaming, and praying together as we look forward to exploring and following Jesus together!

Second Half Community

The second half of life is the longest, and brings fresh questions, soul-grappling, and new quests for meaning. It spans decades and seasons, and statistically includes the the ‘happiest’ years and most ‘fruitful’ decades.

In living your life of seeking Jesus — whether that’s been a day or decades — you have something unique to contribute to the Mosaic community and people all around you. Jesus is calling you to a vibrant life that does just that.

This fall, we’ll begin to gather and build into the relationships and personal development as disciples that will give us tools to mentor the next generations and make a Kingdom impact on people in our area.

Advent

November 27 – December 24

Each of us longs for the presence of Jesus, whether we can identify it or not. Throughout Scripture, we experience a God who gave everything to fulfill that longing: to be present with and in us.

The Advent season marks the four weeks before Christmas as a season of preparation and anticipation for celebrating the miracle of God present with us through the birth of Jesus. We step more fully into the experience of longing for God and embrace the wonder and mystery of him giving himself again and again to us.

This Advent, we’ll also seek to embody the dwelling presence of God through unique ways of serving and giving the presence of Jesus to our neighbors, city, and world.
